Q. I have two cats who I love to death. One is 7 yrs old and the other is about a year in a half. I brought the young one home from school during x-mas time and left him there with my mom and my other cat. They have been doing great together and recently I decided to get rid of one of the liter boxes. Then we started noticing pee smell all over the house. My brother found that a cloth frisbie behind out tv was saturated with cat pee and so I brought back in the second liter box, but we are still noticing that one of the cats is peeing in random places like in closets behind suitcase? I don`t know what to do. I don`t want to get rid of my animals, but my mom is not happy about this? Could one of the cats have a UI? They are not outside cats, but i do let them on the closed back deck often.
PLEASE HELP ME!! I love my cats to death, but I don`t know why one of them is doing this(for some reason I think it may be the younger one.)

Q. Hello. I have a female cat that I`ve had since January from the humane society. I can`t for the life of me figure out what breed she is. I`ve been searching and searching online and I haven`t found a picture of any other cat like her. Her name is Fiona and she is about 2 years old. She is medium in size, with a long face, a long body, large pointed ears, a long nose, small pointed chin, long limbs and very small and dainty paws. Her color is mainly a ginger color, her pattern is a very muted, diluted calico type pattern with ginger, grey and rusty brown. Her tail is long-haired and very light and feathery. Her eyes are large and green. As for behaviour, Fiona is quite reserved and spends most of her day napping underneath my bed or some other bizarre hiding place. She is very independent and but she enjoys the attention she receives thoroughly and shows it by rubbing up against any of her sorroundings while she`s happy. She isn`t vocal, Fiona meows very quietly and it sounds almost as if she is squeaking. Her purring is not audible, but I can feel it in her chest. Sometimes she has asthma attacks. Her coat is very well groomed and extremely soft. She is prone to vomit frequently. She is rather moody, and when she`s had enough petting she`ll let you know by giving you a very hard and sharp bite on the hand, and maybe a few slaps with her paw, then she retreats into hiding. Often, she bites for no reason, very roughly and not like a love-bite, and continues purring and wanting more attention but gets even angrier.

Can you help me determine what kind of breed/mix my cat could be?

Thank you,
Jaclyn Stearman

Q. I have a bull dog puppy whom is four months old. He is loosing his teeth. Is it normal for puppies to experience teething symptoms like humans. (i.e. feeling warm, fevers, ear aches). He seems to be absolutely miserable. Can I give him baby orajel (benzocaine). I heard that there are possible allergic reactions to that med. I also have another question: when we first brought him home we had given him moist food. There was a jar left over in the cupboard, so I mixed it in with his dry food and he has had horrible diarrhea for the past 30 hours. I`m not sure what I can do...other than never feed him that food again. This isn`t from him being sick from teething is it? Please let me know. Thank you!

Q. Hi, i have a cat thats about a year old, and he has been misbehaving quite a lot for the past 5 months. He isnt around other cats, just humans and he constantly knocks things over. Just today he tried to get on the topmost shelf of my closet, and by doing so, knocked the whole shelf down along with everything on it. I understand that he`s curious and will do whatever it takes to get to where he wants to go, but im also thinking maybe its because as a kitten i didnt teach him where to and not to go. He also play fights with me constantly, because i used to when he was small but now i`ve been trying to teach him to slow it down or stop completely because he`s scratching up my whole body. He only does this to me. he never does this to men, which they`ve played with him just as rough as i used to. i want him to understand that i am the "master" or the one who sets things straight, and not him dominating my apartment. its almost like he patrols the apartment an my word or actions dont count at all. Please help.

Q. I have a service cat in my cooperative complex of 18 units. I have two neighbors who are constantly harassing me and following me around, hiding in bushes, etc., taking pictures of my cat and accusing me of letting my cat out without a lead. They have terrorized my cat while on a leash and he broke his harness several times. Now, I have warrants against me for allowing my cat outside without a leash though I am with him physically and less than 10 feet away at all times. They hide in the bushes and at the base of my fire escape and follow me. My cat is now inside strictly but very unhappy. Me too. I cannot go outside without this constant paparrazzi. Are they any laws or recourse for me to stop this and protect myself and my cat? Theresa
